Ambassador Kang visited a new Australia-supported water treatment facility in the Prek Chik Commune in the Moung Ruessey District of Battambang Province.
Funded by our flagship AUD 51.7m Investing in Infrastructure (3i) program, the system utilizes Australian ultra-filtration membrane technology manufactured by DuPont Australia to effectively treat raw water and store safe drinking water in a 100,000l above-ground steel tank manufactured by Tiger Water Solutions. Cambodia’s WE Venture installed the system with assistance from Australia, which can deliver 120,000l of potable water to customers every day.
This project is also part of the partnership between the Australian Water Association and Cambodian Water Supply Association to connect Cambodian and Australian experts in sharing knowledge and innovation for a sustainable water future. Australia is proud to be supporting Cambodia in providing safe drinking water to residents through the sharing of knowledge, technology and innovation in water service delivery.
